Prove Them Wrong

Has anyone ever told you that you can’t do something? That you’re not smart enough, not pretty enough, not talented enough? And how many times have you agreed with them, complied with them, or just accepted what it was they had to say? Probably more times than you maybe should have, that’s for sure.

You see, people think that they can so easily distinguish between the things you can achieve and the things you can’t. When, in reality, their depictions are usually far from the truth. Because how can an outsider possibly know how endless your possibilities are?

You are the only person that knows your limits and your capabilities, so you are the only person that can push those to the extremes. Because, we shouldn’t settle for mediocre, we should strive to be the best. We shouldn’t abide by somebody else’s thoughts, we should challenge them until we prove them invalid.

You need to fight hard for what you want, because nobody else is going to do that for you. Instead, they’ll make judgements on every single thing you do. And the things you manage to achieve will inevitably become the identity they create for you in their mind. So you need to do everything in your power to ensure that you achieve what it is you want to achieve.

Do what you can, get what you deserve and Prove Them Wrong.

  1. Hi there, wow I really enjoyed reading that. I could completely relate to what you said and I think you have explained a true point very well. It always worries me what people’s image of me is and being reminded to fight for what you want and believe in, proving everyone wrong in the process, is very encouraging.
    Thank you.
